Waynetta Celebrates 30 Years at U-STOR George Washington!
I have been with Ustor George Washington since 1995. I love animals of any kind and have three rescue dogs, Peter, Gabby, and Roxy. They enjoy our security walks and interacting with my tenants. Many of my tenants bring their dogs in when they pay their bills, and I always have doggy treats for them.
The thing I enjoy most about helping my tenants is making their move easier. People rent units for a number of reasons. Some are good, such as getting married and merging households, buying a new home, moving to a new city for a new job. However, many times it is for very sad or tragic reasons such as a death, divorce, health concerns, fire etc. I try to make the process as easy as possible so they have less stress. Sometimes my tenants just need someone to listen to them, or they have had a funny, sad, or stressful day and just want to talk. I truly enjoy my tenants and have made some very close friendships. I have been here long enough that many of my tenants were children when their parents rented from me. Now, some of them rent units here and they have children.
I also enjoy the friendships I have made with the other managers. I don’t get to visit much with the other site managers, but interact often with our relief managers. They are the rock stars! They work at all our locations and do a great job taking care of our tenants. If not for them, I wouldn’t get a day off!
Our company is locally owned, and that is a real plus for the managers and tenants. We can respond to our tenants’ needs quickly and with no red tape. I like to problem solve and come up with new ideas, and my property manager, Troy, allows me to do this. He is fun to work with and is very supportive. He listens (most of the time… 
) to our issues/problems/ideas and supports us instead of demanding his way. The office staff at the main office is great! All we have to do is make a call, and they are there to help.
One of the questions was “What do I consider my superpower?” That is a hard one…but I guess it would be my customer service skills. My goal with every customer is to have them happy and satisfied when they walk out my door, whether it is a new rent, a tenant paying their bill, or a tenant with a problem.
